Our Past Events
2022 KANNONBALL RALLY
For 2022, The Kannonballers went to the INDY 500 over Memorial Day weekend! Amazing roads, perfect weather, and another $40K raised for Northern Voices. We have now surpassed $300K donated since our first rally in 2015. We didn't start raising money for Northern Voices until 2016, so in only (7) events, we are extremely proud of what we've accomplished! Plus, it was the experience of a lifetime!
2021 KANNONBALL RALLY
The 2021 Kannonball Rally was our best event to-date! Teams launched from MN Cars & Coffee's June event and embarked on an all-day adventure ending in the Wisconsin Dells. That evening, we were hosted by Dells Raceway Park for a few laps in front of a packed grandstand. The next morning, the rally continued on another all-day adventure. We ended the day back at Chula Vista Resort, but prior to that, we got a few laps in at Road America! Most importantly, we raised over $40K for Northern Voices, bringing our total to over $250K!
2020 KANNONBALL RALLY
This year was a big challenge with all the Covid-19 shutdowns! However, the rally went on as planned with special safety protocols all day long. We limited the field of cars to only (80) because of these new challenges. Teams drove about (500) miles from our starting point in Plymouth, MN (Imola Motorsports) to our finish at Brainerd International Raceway. The teams did a FANTASTIC job fundraising under these circumstances too with over $25K raised for our charity, Northern Voices!
2019 KANNONBALL RALLY
On June 1, 2019, (100) teams participated in the 5th annual Kannonball Rally! They participated in various checkpoints and challenges on this one-day adventure from MN Cars & Coffee to BIR (Brainerd International Raceway). Most teams traveled over 350 miles that day, while helping our charity, Northern Voices!
2018 KANNONBALL RALLY
On June 2, 2018, 140 teams participated in the 4th annual Kannonball Rally! They participated in various checkpoints and challenges on this one-day adventure. Most teams traveled over 300 miles that day, benefiting our charity, Northern Voices!
2017 KANNONBALL RALLY
On June 3, 2017, The Kannonball Fun Charity Rally embarked on a 300-mile adventure around Minnesota. With nine checkpoints and various challenges, this 130 car rally was packed with excitement and fun!
2016 KANNONBALL RALLY
In 2016, we launched from the June MN Cars & Coffee show. The weather was sketchy and eventually the skies opened up! Unfortunately, we had just arrived at Rock Falls drag strip, so we had to postpone that portion of the rally. We went back a few weeks later and had a great time. This was the first event we started raising money for Northern Voices. We were very proud of the $2500 we raised. Crazy to think that we've now surpassed over $300K in donations.
2015 KANNONBALL RALLY
Our first rally! We had about 30 teams compete in this one. We left from MN Cars & Coffee on that sunny June morning. Teams traveled around the metro area, visiting some of our favorite area attractions. We ended the day at the state fairgrounds and enjoyed ourselves at their beerfest!
NORTHERN VOICES
THE REASON WE RALLY!
Northern Voices, located in Roseville, MN, is a center for young children with hearing loss that enables students to communicate through the use of spoken language, and helps families prepare their children to reach their full potential in mainstream schools upon preschool graduation.
This a private school that receives zero tax payer dollars from the state. They rely solely on tuition, donations, and grants to function. There are only nine schools like Northern Voices in the country, so we are very fortunate to have a school like this so close to home.
